My journey began in my teenage years when I was diagnosed with a chronic illness that profoundly altered the course of my life. For more than a decade, I struggled with overcoming the stigma, prejudice and discrimination of what seemed like an unending series of challenges; each one a new test of my resilience. The constant threat to my well-being could have easily dimmed my spirit, but instead, it ignited an unwavering passion within me for helping others find their smiles, even in the most trying circumstances, and to remind the world that, no matter what we face, there is always a reason to smile. ...
